Cara Loconte is an Australian based professional artist and author. She works as a coach at Milan Art Institute, helping students to navigate the early phases of the intensive 12-month Mastery Program, helping them to overcome resistance and self doubt.​

Fascinated by pareidolia, the human tendency to discover familiar shapes and patterns in unexpected places, Cara explores the connection between humans and nature with face emerging from gardens, bodies dissolving into landscapes, and animals become one with their surroundings, blurring the boundaries between where one form ends, and another begins.

At the heart of her work lies a belief that humans and nature share an extraordinary capacity for resilience. Just as nature adapts, regenerates, and flourishes in the harshest conditions, we also possess the ability to transform and bloom again. Our instinct to find patterns, meaning, and beauty amidst chaos helps us carry on during tough times.

Through a process incorporating stencils, spray paint, acrylics, and oils, Cara creates richly textured works that invite viewers to look closer and discover what lies beneath the surface. Playing with light and shadow, abstract and realism, her paintings celebrate the beauty of imperfection, and the invisible threads connecting all living things.

Cara draws inspiration in her fictional work from Nicholas Sparks and JoJo Moyes, loving how the authors tackle complex family and relationship dynamics in a heart warming way.

Cara graduated from the Milan Art Gallery Mastery Program in 2024. Her work has been on display at the Joy Collective in Maleny, where she also completed a large mural. Cara's work has also been selected as a finalist in the 'Little Treasures' competition at Milan Art Gallery in Sarasota Florida and was exhibited at the Loft Gallery, Arts Connect pop up gallery and MADE Sunshine Coast Art Fair in November 2025. She has also been selected to be part of the Teravarna FOCUS art fair's digital showcase in New York City from 21-24 May 2026.
